Disclosing with Confidence

Delivered over 2 separate sessions, this package is designed to support those who have come into contact with the Criminal Justice System. It will develop their knowledge around disclosure and enable them to make informed decisions that will allow them to move forward with their lives.

Throughout the sessions we will.

• Consider the impact a criminal record can have on an individual’s live, both in and outside of the workplace.
• Describe the difference between a spent an unspent conviction, as well list some offences that may be filtered.
• Compare the 3 levels of a DBS check.
• Describe the structure of a disclosure statement and when best to present this to an employer.
• Encourage and support the writing of a disclosure statement that can be used as a template for different roles.

You will also receive a written summary and handout from the session.

Sessions will be delivered online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams; these do not require you to have your own paid for account. However, for Kent-based clients face-to-face can be considered (travel costs will be confirmed prior to sessions commencing).
