In 2020, Chatham Town FC were named ‘Community Club of the Year’ in the Non-League Paper’s ‘National Games Awards’. This reward was richly deserved for a club who have put themselves at the heart of their local community, taking their responsibilities far beyond providing sporting entertainment. During the pandemic they have organised food deliveries, provided mental and physical health support as well as simply checking that local fans/residents are okay. As a new company, we felt that SDM Training Services should align itself with companies and organisations that have similar purpose, vision, and values to ourselves. This in turn supports them to carry on with their excellent work in the community. Becoming a partner allows us to not only enjoy a season ticket and support them on-field, but there are also plans to use their excellent, extensively redeveloped facilities as our Medway training venue.

Stu Miller said: “I have long attended Chatham Town games a couple of times a season. Recently I have been blown away by the development of the club and it is focus on improving the community that it serves. I’m proud that SDM Training Services are able to support this and look forward to a successful season on and off the field.”

Kevin Hake, Chairman of Chatham Town FC, said: “We enjoy working with local companies to help create a hub for the community of Medway for not only sport but business as well. SDM will have access to the facilities at the Bauvill to provide their training courses. We're pleased to have SDM on board and we look forward to working with them in the future."
