HMPPS Staff Support image
SDM Training Services are passionate and committed to supporting staff who work within HM Prison and Probation Service through their career redirection.

We do not and will not actively encourage staff to leave the service. Our work is support those who have already made that decision to better understand their skills, qualities, potential and goals, along with developing their employability skills.

To do this we offer a completely free 6 session support package that focuses on key employability skills. This package is based on our Bee Work Ready Standard Support Package, the details of which can be viewed here.

The sessions are delivered online, although face-to-face can be arranged for the first session with those who live within the Medway Towns. The package includes.
  • Blended learning using online delivery, video content, paper-based resources and self-directed learning, always geared towards self-efficacy.
  • Between sessions you will have self-directed learning tasks to complete that relate to you achieving your career goal. Famously, you only get out what you put in!
  • Access to the website membership area containing a range of employability resources.
  • 1 year of AfterCare support, ensuring that you have access to support and advice when you need it.
  • Complete discretion at all times. We are aware that many people do not wish others to know that they are in the process of assessing their options and we are respectful of that. We will not share details of the support you receive with anyone else at any time, unless instructed by yourself.
Our packages are delivered by Stuart Miller, who spent 13 years working at HMYOI Cookham Wood, initially with adult females and then male juveniles. He is skilled and experienced in delivering employability support to those from uniformed backgrounds.

To register for this completely free support package, please complete the referral form below or contact us here.
